In September Princeton takes you to Cape Town, South Africa.

Cape Town, with its spectacular harbour and lush vegetation, is regarded by many as one of the world's most beautiful cities. Here, Table Mountain forms a dramatic backdrop to South Africa’s capital city and from the top of the mountain, you can reflect for a moment on the country’s troubled history and look down at the centre of government and power, which once resided only in the hands of white men. Beyond stretches a beautiful harbour and Table Bay, while looking north to Robben Island, you will be reminded that Nelson Mandela, the country’s first black president, was one of many incarcerated there for years.

The years of apartheid are long gone however, and now Cape Town, with Table Mountain and the surrounding Cape Peninsula National Park, is a very popular destination.

The 14th World Congress of Anaesthesiologists, hosted by Cape Town, brings together anaesthesiologists and industry partners to share knowledge on topics including chronic pain, intensive care, intravenous anaesthesia, neuroanaesthesia and pain management.
